Born May 9, 1913 in Wellington, Kansas. Died November 18, 2000. His parents were William Alonzo Cofer and Rosa Belle Olels/Cofer. Marion married Annie Lel Matheson on September 12, 1936 in Columbus, Montana. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Roberta Rosa Cofer/Veenendaal, son-in-law, Bert, grandson, Bert Marion and a sister, Erma Reintsma. Marion is survived by his wife Annie; two sons, William Marion Cofer and wife Welhelma in Poulsbo, and Thomas Edward Cofer and wife Deborah in Bothell. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and sister, Annabelle Egner. Marion and Annie moved to Seattle from Montana in 1939. Marion served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He drove trucks for 36 years in the Seattle area and was a member of the Teamsters Union before retiring in 1976. Marion enjoyed family and friends, bowling, square dancing and traveling; reaching all 50 states, as well as many countries on the European Continent.
