

Gone to be with the angels, Marlene Frances (Green) Skinnell died in Seattle WA 1/29/2023. She came into this world with brilliant red hair in Billings MT on 6/18/1947, born to Katharine Montana (Leatherman) and Emerson Pierce Green. She lived on Pryor Creek with her parents, brother and sister until first grade when she moved to Billings.
Single handed Marlene earned an RN degree and worked for 25 years in Seattle Hospitals; Harborview Medical Center for 15 years and The Madison Clinic and Hanson’s Clinic for 10 years. She took specialized training in Louisiana to work with leprosy and HIV patients in those Clinics. She was devoted to her patients and earned the respect of the medical professionals and her co-workers.
Marlene was diagnosed 6 months ago with brain cancer. She always lived quietly and sweetly and was a friend and helper to all she met.
Immediate survivors include her loving husband of 27 years, Keith, children Tina Marie (Hust) McDunnah (Billings), her beloved granddaughter, Katharine Rose McDunnah, son, Timothy Hust (Karen and Brianna Collins) of Bridger, brother Ronnie Lee Green (Judy), Denver, sister Donna (Green) McKamy (R.W), Laurel.
Let’s remember Marlene by giving back one of her famous smiles.
A memory day for Marlene will be held all over America by friends and family. Wherever you are, on her birthday, June 18th give her a toast and smile at the heavens. From little kids with a pop in your hands, or a drink of water on the fishing stream, or a ‘cold one’ if it’s a hot day. There are too many friends and time zones to coordinate a specific time; please just do it on June 18th.
