
born August 12, 1933 in Nashville, Tennessee passed away at her Seattle home, January 26, 2001. She graduated from East Tennessee State University and Duke University with graduate studies in neuroanatomy and neurophysiology at Duke and the University of Washington. She served as Physical Therapist and the Veteran's Administration, Mountain Home, Tennessee, Chief Physical Therapist at Hedgecroft Rehabilitation Hospital, Houston, Texas, taught at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina and then at University of Washington School of Medicine from 1963 until her retirement in 1995. She was instrumental in the development of the School of Physical Therapy at UW,with numerous publications and honors, including a Fulbright-Hay AwardDenmark, 1969. She was an active member of numerous professional organizations. Daughter of C. Larkin Trotter and Martha Martin Trotter, She is survived by her sister, Betty Sue Hays, of Johnson City, Tennessee as well as two nephews, David Hays, of Johnson City, Tennessee, John Hays, of Dunn, North Carolina and a niece, Terry Hays-Cannon, of Johnson City,Tennessee. A memorial service will be held on February 1, 2001 at 10:30 AM,First Presbyterian Church, 1013 8th Ave Seattle.
