Marvin Edward Fenswick

Marv was born December 3, 1936 in Petersburg, Alaska to Arne and Marie Fenswick and was the youngest of 3 siblings. Marv lived in Seattle for 78 years. He was a shipwright and retired from Pacific Fisherman in Ballard, WA in 1991. He was a skilled carpenter, lifetime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, a commercial fisherman in Bristol Bay, AK. and an avid sport fisherman, catching his record fish, a 66 pound King Salmon. Marv was always ready to lend a hand. He enjoyed cooking and was a master at making potato salad and his famous Swedish Pancakes. He loved boating, traveling with his wife, spending time on his daughter’s farm in Snohomish and watching Sponge Bob Square Pants with his granddaughters.

Marv is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandy, daughter Nancy, son-in-law Stan, and granddaughters Kelsey and Kristy.

I have such fond memories of knowing Marvin as a neighbor and as a friend. I will miss his smile and how very gracious he was, always welcoming.
