Mary Virginia Bailey

Born November 30, 1923 in Seattle, she was the only child of the late John and Harriet MacPherson. She graduated from Roosevelt High School Class of 1942 and the UW Class of 1945. On July 14, 1947 she married Glenn N. Bailey.

Mary retired from Washington Mutual Bank, Wedgewood branch in 1982 as bank manger. She was a member of Nile Shrine Fun on Wheels Club, Daughters of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Eastern Star and served on the Roosevelt Alumni Reunion Committee. Her family will always remember her as a fun-loving person who enjoyed cooking Holiday dinners for her family. She shared many wonderful traveling experiences with her husband throughout Europe, the Orient and traveling the United States in their R.V.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn N. Bailey, her sons Glenn J. Carol Bailey Seattle, WA and Robert G. Lisa Bailey Rochester, WA., four grandchildren, Jesse Bailey, Kristin Chad Boudon, Craig Bailey and Linsey Bailey. She is also survived by many other relatives and close friends.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm., Saturday, March 3rd at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave. N. Friends and relatives are welcome at the memorial service.

Mary will be dearly missed. We are grateful to have been blessed with so many years of her love.
