Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jay Dowling in 1996, her parents Mamie and Seth Thaxton, her sister Janette Crank, and her Nephew Doug Crank. She is survived by her brother Seth Thaxton (Pat), sister Shirley Fink (Homer), sister Julia Swagger of WV, Nephews Jeff (Kayla) Thaxton of WV, and Mark Fink of WV, Nieces Teri Chamberlain (Mark) of WA, Debbie Burford of WV, Joyce Fink of TX, Angela (Al) Brooker of FL, Jeanette Thaxton of WV, and Tammy Crank of SC, grand-niece Alison Chapple, grand-nephew Ryan (Kayla) Taylor, and best friends Roberta Hinz and Pat Reightley, as well as many other friends and family members.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday September 23, 2017 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Evergreen Washelli Celebration Hall.
