Mary Ellen Pacher of Mukilteo died June 16th at age 88, at Providence Medical Center in Everett. Mary was a proud graduate of Roosevelt HS, Seattle University, and University of Washington. She married Chuck Pacher in 1958. She taught piano while raising her children and then returned to teaching elementary school, teaching for many years in the Edmonds School District. Mary loved traveling, particularly visits to Kailua Kona on the big island of Hawaii, but she never found anywhere else she loved as much as their own place on Whidbey Island. She is survived by Chuck, her husband of 65 years; her brother Dan Crayne (Charles Smith); children Glen (Mary), Tom (Marlene), David (Mary) and Heidi; grandchildren Brandon (Cassie), Ves (also known as Jon), Kristen, and Taylor, and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday July 15, 2023
at Saint Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 722 North 145th Street in Shoreline.
