Maxine Nanie Pakko, 97.7 years old, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Kirkland, Washington on Saturday, December 13th, 2014. She was born April 11th, 1917 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada, to Walter & Adel Piper, the 3rd of 3 children. While a child, her family moved to Fargo, North Dakota.
She meet and married Wally Pakko, a WWII veteran while he was attending school at the University of Minnesota. They moved to Seattle in 1950 where Wally finished his Bachelor degree in Engineering at the University of Washington. Seattle is where they planted their roots and had their two sons, Dick and David.
Maxine enjoyed a long career in the personnel department at the Bon Marche, Northgate.
Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Walford who passed in 1976. She is survived by her two sons, Dick(Janet) of Bothell and David(Leslie) of Seattle. Grandchildren include David, Joe, Anna and Devon Pakko. She has 6 great grandchildren. She will be forever loved and remembered by many friends and family members.
