
Born in Seattle May 17th, 1908. Died Peacefully Aug. 16th, 2003. Daughter of Norwegian parents, Nels and Bertha Tronstad. May grew up in the family home in Wallingford. She attended Lincoln High School, but transferred to Cornish School of Art where she took courses that prepared her for her future career as fashion illustrator. She started at Frederick and Nelson as one of the glamorous elevator girls, but had her sights set on the advertising dept. upstairs. During her career, she was artist for F & N, Best?s Apparel, Mac Dougalls, and Bon Marche. After retirement she began a second career in real estate and retired from Blue Ridge Reality at the age of 82. She was active in the Blue Ridge Community and Crown Lutheran Church. She was an avid golfer, bowler and traveled the world with her sister Betty. She also enjoyed painting watercolor florals. She is survived by her two children June Larry DeMers and Bill Linda Witham, four grandchildren Victoria, Suzanne, Kathy and Bill; four great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Private graveside service at Washelli Cemetery. Memorial service Sat. Aug. 23rd, 2003 11:00am at Crown Lutheran Church, 1501 NW 90th St. Seattle.
