Michael John MacDonald

Michael John MacDonald, 63, of Bothell, died peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015. He was born April 27, 1951 in Seattle, WA, the son of Jerry and Catherine (Murphy) MacDonald. Michael married Shirley Ann Vangen. Michael was an journeyman electrician, which came as no surprise as he wired his older brother's backyard clubhouse at just seven years old! He enjoyed going to casino's, playing in poker tournaments, and from early on was amazing with computers. Michael was very intellectual, a big history buff and loved spending time with his wife, grandchildren and large family. He is survived by his wife; son, Scott Hammond; grandchildren, Devan, Tori, Bryanna and Hailey Hammond; his mother; step-daughter, Alesha Maul (Christopher) and a grandson, Alex Maul; brothers Patrick MacDonald (Kathy), Jeffrey MacDonald (Julie) and Matthew MacDonald (Dawn); sisters Therese Souers (Orrin), Joan Kohl (Kent), Marie Boyle (Larry), Suzanne MacDonald and Monica Stell (Reid); 16 nieces and nephews (Chris Lantagne, Chris & Ben MacDonald, Meghan Ramirez, Eric Doherty, Carys Bice, Adam & Clayton MacDonald, Ashley & Kelly Guevara, Natalie & Derek Whipple, Brooke & Liv Benson, and Madison & Savannah Stell), and 14 grand nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father, brothers Mark and Ian MacDonald, and nephew Kevin MacDonald.
