Our beloved mother passed away peacefully on June 7, 2001, at 93. Her family was by her side during her final moments. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glenn and her second husband, George Guppy. Born May 31, 1908 in Hastings, Nebraska, she is survived by her two sons, Richard and Joe Lewis and one daughter, Linda Probstfeld, daughter-in-law, Fay Lewis and son-in-law, Stephen Probstfeld, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her second husband's son, Russ Guppy and his wife, Margie and their five children. Mildred was happiest when surrounded by her family. A great traveler, earlier in her life, she lived in Rome, Italy and Tehran, Iran. An avid bridge player, she belonged to several Magnolia bridge clubs. Mildred's family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Nicu and Tatiana Cimpan, caregivers, and their family, who made her last months happy and comfortable. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a cancer research fund. A memorial service will be held at Evergreen-Washelli on June 16th at 2:00 PM.
