Ginny passed away peacefully on October 24th, 2009 at the age of 87. She had been married for 67 years to Carlton E. Hansen who had preceded her in death by just a short two months. She was born in Black Diamond, WA in 1922 and grew up in the Fremont District of Seattle where she attended Lincoln High School. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Braun (Fred), son Carlton Hansen Jr. (Nancy), three Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren. Ginny enjoyed being with her family very much and had an extended family within the Seattle Fire Department with whom she enjoyed traveling and many other social activities.
Her family has chosen to hold her memorial privately. She will be interred at Evergreen Washeli in the columbarium with her husband. Remembrances can be made to the Seattle Children's Hospital Foundation.
