Murle E. Thomas, age 94, passed away peacefully in her Seattle home on July 17, 2017. She was born November 23, 1922 in Lamar Arkansas. Murle was well traveled. She especially loved Alaska, Europe and anywhere her infamous 55 Chevy BelAir "Elmer" would take her. Her careers were many but her most favorite accomplishments were that of a nurse (maternity and surgical) and then a Hollywood nanny to the stars.
Murle loved a good garden. She was known for her cooking, canned beets and a good story. She loved animals, thrift shopping and of course dining and napping.
Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Edith Seeman; husband Wilbur Thomas; and dogs Lady and Margie, She is survived by her sister Arvetta E Turner of Lamar Arkansas, nieces and nephews in Arkansas and numerous friends and other "kids" whose lives she touched and who fondly called her Godmother or "Auntie" Murle.
A small memorial will be held at the Queen Anne Presbyterian Church luncheon, Seattle,WA. in August.
A private celebration of her life will follow at a later date.
