Nils Gustaf Berg Bredsberg was born to Nils Johan Bredsberg and Kristina Eriksdotter on Januar 4, 1904 in Sweden. He was one of six children. Gus immigrated to the United States in 1925. He first worked in a logging camp in Troy, Idaho. Later he moved to Seattle, Washington and bought a Hygrade Dairy route. It was on this route that he met Elsie A. Hansson. They were married March 24, 1934. They had one daughter, Elsie Ann. They spent most of their married life in Seattle, and then moved to Portland, Oregon. Gus worked for Multnomah Plywood until his death on October 8, 1960. He loved his work, his family, his two granddaughters and woodworking. At the time of his death, his wife Elsie, daughter Elsie Ann and her husband Larry Carpenter, two granddaughters, Lori and Belinda, one sister Margaret, and three brothers in Sweden survived him.
His wife Elsie followed him in death on February 13, 2002.
