Olga was born at the family farm in Sisseton, South Dakota on July 1, 1920. She was the youngest of six children. Olga graduated as Valedictorian of her high school class. Missing her family, who had moved to Washington State the previous year, she moved there as well. She first worked at Equal’s Department Store in Mount Vernon and then at the Everett Paper Mill. Not long after arriving in the Pacific Northwest she met Clio. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2002. They married on September 17, 1940 and moved into the house that would become home for the following 81 years. She was an avid gardener, great cook and always had a keen interest in home design and décor. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mom and grandma.
She is survived by her two children, Dennis Hogan of Seattle, WA and Jana Hogan of Gold Hill, OR; two grandchildren, Scott (Iren) Hogan and Michelle (Roger Witte) Miller; one great-granddaughter, Bailey Hogan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clio; her five brothers and sisters; and her son-in-law, Richard.
