Pat was born and raised in St. Paul, MN. She attended the University of MN and trained as an x-ray technician. Following graduation, she moved to Seattle, where she met and married John Moody. They made their home in Bothell and were married for 35 years when he passed away. Pat loved the town of Bothell and was happy to spend her life there.
Pat was active in many organizations and her church. She was an avid gardener and received her Master Gardner Certification from WSU Snohomish County. She was most passionate about fuchsias. She was a skilled competitive grower with two large greenhouses, a collector of anything with fuchsias on it and a member of the NW Fuchsia Society, where she served on the board as president, as well as belonged to several local fuchsia clubs. She received numerous awards for her beautiful flowers.
Pat loved RV travel, having toured most of the U.S. Her favorite places were the Pacific Ocean beaches of WA and OR, and the Arizona desert, where she wintered for many years in Parker. She loved all animals, especially her Welsh Corgi dogs.
Most important to Pat was her family. She is survived by her three children and three grandchildren.
She was also a mother to many and her door was always open to everyone. She was well known around town and an inspiration of strength, perseverance and grace to others. She faced some big challenges in life but never complained or let anything stop her.
Those who knew and loved Pat are invited to celebrate her life at a mass and reception beginning at 11:00 a.m. on June 2nd at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10100 NE 192nd St., Bothell, WA 98011. Guests are invited to bring a clipping from their garden.
Anyone wishing to make a donation in Pat's honor may do so by check to Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation, c/o WSU Extension, 600 128th St SE, Everett, WA 98208.
The family would like to thank Pat's friends who loved and helped her so much over the years.
