

The family of Patricia Volchok celebrates her life and mourns her passing at the age of 66. Patricia was born December 24,1948 in Seattle, Washington. She attended Eisenhower High School in Yakima and graduated from the University of Washington in 1971 with a teacher's degree. Pat taught at Eckstein Middle School in Seattle and moved on to work as the Community Relations Director of Seattle Public Schools, was a weekly participant on the KIRO TV Northwest Living 7 live show and as the Costco Consumer Reporter for 15 years, where she was admired by millions of readers. Beyond her career achievements, the center of Pat's life was her loving devotion to her family and friends. She lived an amazing and influential life-- her positivity, generosity, humor and wit drew people to her wherever she went. Pat lit up any room she entered with her beauty, warmth and engaging manner. Whether colleague, friend or family member -- you always felt better about yourself and life itself after spending time with Pat. Patricia always said she had a wonderful life -- family, friends, entertaining, traveling the world with Gary -- doing it all with gusto. The family would like to thank Dr. Marc Chamberlain, Suzanne Beauchene and Mellana Grant for all that they did and tried to do. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck and Lois Dalzell.
