

Jim was born December 1st 1934 in Lewiston, ID to Marvin and Goldy (Payton) Cook. January 1953 he enlisted in the Navy. While in the Navy he married Shirley Taylor and they had a son, Carl E. Cook. They later divorced. Jim married Vira (Vi) Nadene Clark and extended his family with 3 daughters, Diana, Cecilia, and Linda Clark. Jim and Vi were married when in 2008 Vi passed. January 2009 Jim Married Linda Lee Irene Cook and again extended his family with a Son Jerry and Daughter Kelley.
Jim is survived by his wife Linda, Sons, Carl & wife Donna and Jerry & Wife Lisa, Daughters Diana Baisch, Cecilia Brigham & husband Richard, Linda Clark & her partner Regan, and Kelley Elder. He is also survived by 15 Grand Children, 25 Great Grand Children and 2 Great Great Grand Children due in June and October.
Jim enjoyed his collection of trains, gardening, attending Christian Faith Center, he enjoyed opening his home to Connect Bible Study and Bunco, Silver Sneakers, Wild Bunch Senior life group. He also liked photography and has a large collection of photos. His best and most favorite thing to do was spending time with Family and Friends. Jim also belongs to the American Legion in Renton, WA where he was the 1st Vice Commander of Post 19. He was a part of the American Legion Honor Guard and really enjoyed his part in the 21 Gun Solute.
He is loved by many and will be missed beyond imagination by all that knew him.
The family would like everyone that can, join us in a Celebration of Life, which will be held at Christian Faith Center, 33645 20th Ave South, Federal Way, WA on March 15th from 2 to 4p.m. We will be having Coffee and Cookies after the service. Military Internment Ceremony will be announced at a later date. In lui of flowers the Family Requests that donations be sent in Jim's name to the American Legion, Post 19, 3224 NE 12th St, Renton, WA 98056.
