

Paul was born in Seattle, WA on May 25, 1931. He passed away on January 13, 2011.
He lived his entire life in Seattle. Paul graduated from West Seattle High School in 1949.
He joined the Marine Corps in 1948, and was called to active duty in 1949. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and was honorably discharged on November 1952. After being discharged from the Marine Corps, he worked as a carpenter for a period of time, and then went to work as a License Examiner for the Washington State Patrol. In 1956 he joined the Seattle Police Dept. He worked in various departments and eventually became a motorcycle cop. He was a Sergeant for several years before his retirement in December 1985. Paul was preceded in death by his son, Kerry Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; sons, Curtis and Martin (Cheri); granddaughter, Danielle Peterson; brother, Carl (Myrna) of Newberg, Oregon; nieces, Julie Mindiola and Mari Marre of California. Memorial Services to be held at Yarington’s Magnolia Chapel 10708 16th Ave. SW Seattle (206-242-2771), on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life to follow at 2 PM at Burien Elks .
