

Pauline Ada Christiansen - June 6, 1941- August 26, 2025 and Gregg Grabill - November 11, 1961 - May 2025 .
Pauline Christiansen, of Issaquah, WA, died peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 84. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Pricilla and Robert Yeager, and her son, Gregg Grabill.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Finn Christiansen, and her sister, Pat Goldsberry and brother, Bill Yeager, as well as her sister-in-law, Bente Yeager. Survivors who will also cherish her memories include her niece, Debra Foster, and Debra’s children, Trevor and Kody.
Pauline was employed for many years at Bellevue College as an English instructor, where she was celebrated for her inventive teaching style and her dedication to her students. She wrote a textbook, From Inside Out, which was used in many writing classes. She was a source of inspiration to her students who remembered her as a kind instructor who made writing fun.
Pauline was also creative in retirement, writing songs, painting her cats and participating in singing groups. She was a loyal and generous friend to many, including colleagues, students, members of her group of retired women, as well as her family.
Inurnment will take place at Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park, date to be announced.
