Reverend Peter Takamichi Koshi

Rev. Peter T Koshi went peacefully on the morning of February 8th at the age of 93. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he was called home. Rev. Koshi was survived by his 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren along with family, friends and colleagues. Peter was born on June 4, 1922 to Matsu and Philip Koshi in Agate, CO. He graduated with a BA in Sociology from Denver University and a MA in Sociology from the University of Washington. He served as an educator and administrator at Seattle Central Community College for 15 years, where he retired as the Director of Student Affairs. He took great pride in receiving his Bachelor or Divinity from Central Baptist Theology Seminary that allowed him to serve churches from Kansas City, KS to Seattle and several interim postings in the Pacific Northwest through the Evergreen Baptist Association. There will be a private burial with a public memorial service held at the Japanese Baptist Church, 160 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122 on Saturday, February 20th at 2:00 pm.
