Pete was a good friend of mine for over 30 years.  We enjoyed many dinners and conversations together.  He liked the lamb skewers, halibut, and brownie.  We hiked and took long nature walks on various trails.  He was funny with a good sense of humor.  He liked watching sports.  He ran a lot in his 40's, and he always liked being physically active.  We had fun shooting archery at a foam target on a tree near the track at Kent Ridge High School.  Pete was always challenging himself to learn.  When he became a contractor, he learned to install and repair many things.  He was physically strong and persistent in solving issues for people.  He helped me replace my hot water tank.  He shovelled snow.  He was like a hero in his "can-do" attitude and actions.  He liked being curious and figuring things out, and he kept going even when others wanted to give up.  He was there for people in the middle of the night to tackle difficult problems, like water flooding down walls through a ceiling!  You could always count on him to show up and work hard to solve difficult problems for people.  Pete was a nice, generous friend.  I will miss him.

Sorry to hear of Pete's passing.  He was a sensitive, caring guy who helped a lot of people in his life.  My wife Mary and I enjoyed our time and trips with Pete and Susan.  He loved exciting football and baseball games, good food, good humor, and nature walks.  We had a fun time talking and sharing stories together.  Pete really enjoyed watching and listening to the birds in Oregon parks.  We will miss him.  My condolences to his family and friends.  His legacy of love will live on in you all.

Pete was a kind, gentle man who enriched my niece's life for so many years.  I enjoyed meeting him and visiting places around Seattle, he clearly loved the Pacific Northwest.  He was interested in people and was a very good listener. I remember his positive, helpful attitude-I felt he would do anything he could to help people.  He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

My name is Greg Hoffmann. I have known Pete for 25 years. He and I were friends and co workers. He was honest in his approach to life. We gad good times with after work happy hour. He worked hard,  and was patient with his surroundings and family.  Thanks Pete for the memories.

It is with much sadness that we heard about Pete's passing.  We found Pete a man who readily "stepped up to the plate" to help make life just a little bit better for others through his hospitality or through his supportive multiple skills.  When we came to Washington to visit our cousin Susan and him, he opened his home with impressive friendliness.  We enjoyed our visits with each other in Washington, California, and Oregon.  Many traveling, sports and dinner outings were experienced with good conversations with Pete.  Pete was very much engaged in his surroundings and easily present to us as a good listener.  We also witnessed his easy willingness to be available to help others in need.  He cared for and restored lives with his talents and goodness.  We will miss him!

We lived at On the Green in Renton where Pete was the property manager for many years.  My husband and son would help Pete out around the property sometimes and he was always on the go!  We will miss you Pete rest in paradise!
