Randal Mark Wiant, 62, went to be with Jesus, July 9th, 2020, in Lynnwood, WA. He was born on August 2, 1957, in Portland, OR, to Gary Wiant and Virginia Lindberg (Young). He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kristi Wiant; two daughters, Katrina Wiant Ulloa and Kimberly Wiant, son-in-law Israel Ulloa and granddaughters Isabella and Allison; The Wiant siblings, Kathi, Steve, Jim, Jerry and Michael, and their families. He graduated from Churchill High School in Eugene, OR, in 1975, and then attended Lutheran Bible Institute in Seattle, WA.
He lived and worked in property maintenance in the Seattle area for many years. He was very active in his local church and participated in several overseas mission trips. Randy enjoyed vacations anywhere, especially Hawaii, reading, any kind of sandwich, strawberry pie, and was always working towards the perfect waffle recipe. He would want everyone to know how much Jesus loves them. Most recently, he expressed how he was learning more about the Father’s love and has compiled his experiences of sharing God’s love with others in his first book, titled “Opportunities of Grace”, to be released the summer of 2020.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Rom. 8:28).
A memorial will be held in his honor on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020, at Calvary Fellowship in Mount Lake Terrace, WA, at 2pm. Contributions can be made in his memory to Calvary Fellowship Missions or the Medic One Foundation.
