Reed Gordon Laughlin’s life ended on May 23, 2022 at the age of 43. He leaves behind his father and mother, Stuart and Marian Laughlin, his brother and sister-in-law Grant Laughlin and Sandra Sakai, his nephew Miles Laughlin, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who love him and miss him dearly.
Reed read voraciously and was known for his integrity, keen mind, and sharp wit. A child of Seattle, he delighted in music and going to local concerts. Anime was intriguing and delightful for him. No one was better at finding silly snacks, which he shared with his amused family and friends. He also loved hiking, being outdoors, and had a peculiar knack with cats.
For the last couple of years Reed worked at Fidelity Title. He spoke fondly of his colleagues and appreciated the camaraderie of the office; he truly enjoyed their companionship.
Reed was considerate. He was insightful and compassionate, coming up with the perfect way to support others, whether it be words of comfort or salient advice. He was a very private person, keeping his own worries to himself so as not to burden.
His greatest joy this year was the birth of his nephew, Miles. Reed was a great uncle and found joy when spending time with Miles.
We will always love and miss him.
