

Born on September 5, 1946 in Manila, Philippines, Ricardo Ligon Sanchez passed away at the age of 68 on January 3, 2015 from a sudden heart attack and further complications. After attending high school at Ateneo de Davao and St. Joseph in San Jose, Nueva Ecija, he proceeded to National University in Manila for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had resided in the US for the past 36 years, and worked at Paccar Parts for 30 years before a relaxing retirement. Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents Cristobal & Lourdes and his brother Plinio. He is survived by his loving & faithful wife Madeliene of 35 years, son Paolo, and daughter Erika. He also leaves his siblings Danny, Cecille, Eddie, Nina, Andy, Ramon, Maria, Merceditas, their families, and many close friends.
Ricardo was a family oriented man, devoted in keeping his wife, children, and the entire extended family happy. He enjoyed his life to the fullest from savoring all kinds of cuisine to keeping up with his favorite gadgets, shows & games to traveling with loved ones. He will always be remembered for his fun & young spirited demeanor, his laugh, smile & jokes, and guidance for his family & friends. Ricardo's tenacious & cheerful presence and love & inspiration for all those he touched will be dearly missed.
