Retired Seattle fire fighter. Born August 25, 1938 in Phinney Ridge. He passed away June 16, 2002 in Seattle, WA. Dick was with the Seattle fire department for 27 years, the last years with station 31 ladder 5. Dick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He enjoyed sports of all types, especially golf and bowling, but was also a country western fan. When he could not pursue sports anymore as his illness progressed, he never lost his sense of humor and even became an accomplished quilter. Dick is survived by his wife Mary Dahl; daughter Suzie Joe Calabro; son Corey Jody Dahl; brother Wayne Vernette Dahl; grandchildren Brittney and Cole Calabro and Zoe Dahl. Memorial service will be Friday, June 21, 2002 at 10:00am at Evergreen-Washelli Chapel. 11111 Aurora Ave. N. Seattle.
