Dick Thomas PERKINS Age 86, passed away on Friday, January 30th. He retired from teaching in 1985 after 21 years at Beacon Hill Elementary. Mr. Perkins was born on June 10, 1923 in Washington, D. C. He worked for the YMCA before coming to the west coast in 1946 and receiving his bachelor's degree, attending Seattle Pacific and the University of Washington. He and his wife traveled through Europe, Australia, Asia, South America and the Middle East. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beatrice Perkins, his sister, Leontine Page and two generations of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Apostolic Faith Church, 7420 9th Avenue NE Seattle, 98115. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made to the Perkins Fund at Apostolic Faith Church in Seattle.
