Pam and family. Doug and I were shocked to hear about your Dad's passing. He seemed to be doing so well lately, and so happy busily fixing up the guest bath and the yard.

We felt blessed to have such great neighbors. I still miss hearing your Mom's voice shouting "Hi honey!" across the fence. I hope you take comfort in the belief that Bob and Millie are together again and are reminding those who have passed before them what a perfect couple they were.

Bob: So long old friend! It has been a great run from high school to the present. The road has not always been easy and around every turn there was a new challenge that you met gallantly. Even considering World War II I still believe we have lived in the best years. Polly and I still talk of the week you and Millie spent with us in Kona.. Golf and bridge and fun. And of course all of the parties and bridge club evenings here in Seattle, your home and ours. Polly and I are grateful to have had lunch with you at the club 3 times in the last few months. Good food, good conversations, good friends. Next time I have lunch at the club I am going to have a Corona in your remembrance as your favorite lunch time beverage. Give our best to Millie and hopefully we will follow you two to a better place. Elmer and Polly Matson

May the peace of the Lord that passes all understanding be with you and family at this difficult time.
Uncle Bob ( my namesake) and Aunt Millie were such wonderful people. I have so many good memories of them dating back to my childhood. Their lives, their marriage, their success, their charm and grace was so inspirational for me. I always looked up to Uncle Bob. He was a real man's man that earned everyone's respect. When I was very young he shared with me about his Air Force experience and how he wanted to be a pilot. I was also impressed with his career as a sales representitive. It was not just coincidental that I later became a private pilot and a salesman!
Uncle Bob & Aunt Millie will always have a special place in our hearts and mind. We know they are now together again in a much better place.

We are saddened to hear of Bob's passing but know he is backed with his beloved Millie. We knew Bob as our neighbor and through Rainier Golf Club ... he was a true gentleman and good friend.

I knew Bob and Millie at Rainier since 1984. They were wonderful people. Bob was the embodiment of "the greatest generation" in many ways. It was my pleasure to sponsor Bob for lifetime honorary membership at Rainier in 1997; although he did not have to, he continued to serve the club as its institutional memory and historian as recording secretary for many years. A wonderful person who I will personally miss in many ways.

Linda and I knew Bob and Millie through Rainier Golf and Country Club. They were always so kind and gracious to both of us. We were very saddened when Millie passed but know that Bob is back with her in Heaven. We have been blessed to have known both of these great human beings. Joe and Linda Wheat

I am so sorry for your loss, your Dad and Mom were the best Uncle and Aunt we could ask for. I loved them so very much, Bob and Millie were the best! I am going to really miss those calls we had from time to time over the years. I can remember when Bob taught me to water ski, many years ago. Everyone in the boat was trying to tell me how then Bob took over and I got up on the third try! What fun that day was. It's those times that are in my heart. Pam he will be in your heart to forever and in everyones.
