Robert Ming Chan

Robert Ming CHAN Age 82, passed away June 15th, 2008 at Swedish Hospital. He was born in Canton, China on November 7, 1926. A college graduate, left for Hong Kong after WWII where he worked in his Father's business. He married Wai Kin Fong in 1954. He immigrated to the United States in 1963 with Wai Kin and their daughter Maxine who was born in Hong Kong . They settled in Seattle, WA and had their son Brandon. Robert and his wife ran a successful number of Chinese restaurants in Burien, Lacey and Kennewick Washington. They retired in 1998 to Seattle, Wa. He is survived by his wife Wai Kin, his daughter Maxine, his son Brandon, and five grandchildren Mackenzie, Alexander, Madison, Ashton and Bryson. Robert is also survived by his brothers Richard and Ming King, and his sister Honoria. We will all love and will miss him dearly. He was the most good hearted person we knew. The funeral service was held June 19th, 11am at Butterworth's Funeral Home in Queen Anne, 520 W. Raye St, Seattle Wa 98119. He was buried at Lake View Cemetery, Seattle WA.
