I had the great pleasure of working with Bob for several years at QWEST during the early 2000’s. Bob was incredibly intelligent and engaging, and always found an opportunity to make us all laugh and bring levity to any situation. On one occasion, when we (marketing team) were exploring creative ways to confirm client attendance at corporate events, Bob suggested we use a company called “Hollywood is calling” that contracted with actors like “Lorenzo Lamas” who would place calls to our clients and secure RSVPs!” We all got a good chuckle hearing Bob’s suggestion that was more intended to make us laugh than as a serious recommendation. A bit later that year and on the eve of Christmas, as I entered the QWEST office I noticed a man that looked somewhat familiar standing outside my office door....long brown hair, tan, rugged-looking, big smile, though very still. It was a life sized stand up of Lorenzo Lamas, and in his hand was a gift certificate to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse from Bob and my entire team! I laughed out loud when I saw it and immediately knew it was Bob’s handiwork! God graced us for a brief moment in time with Bobs presence - a gentle soul who was kind, funny , intelligent, and made this world a better place for all who knew him. To Bob’s family, thank you for sharing Bob with us and my deepest sympathies at this difficult time.

Bob,
What an amazing person you are. I fear you never knew the level of feelings people hard for you.
We will miss everything about you. Just you, an Amazing person is many ways. I for one will miss your wit, your laugh, our conversations about life , your smile and just speaking with you. Way to soon for you to leave. But you’re needed elsewhere in a big way.
See you again, but not just yet.
You are a force to remember.
Your friend.
