Born to Audrey and Robert “Bob” Crowley, Robert grew up on Mercer Island alongside his five siblings: Tim, Pat, Joe, Colleen, and Dan. His childhood was filled with family, friendships, and cherished summers in Indianola, Washington.
Robert attended O’Dea High School and later the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where he formed some of the greatest friendships of his life. He went on to enjoy a career as an engineer.
A man of his word, Robert was known for his quiet nature, quick wit, and unwavering determination. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a deep appreciation for the sunshine, and a lifelong commitment to staying active. He approached life with remarkable discipline and a quiet strength that carried him through even the greatest challenges.
Robert’s greatest love story began in high school when he met his sweetheart, Ginger. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two daughters, Lauren and Gabrielle, who were his pride and joy. A devoted husband and father, Robert treasured his family above all else. His newest and most cherished role was that of grandfather to Leo (3) and Walker (4 months), who brought him immeasurable happiness.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Ginger; daughters, Lauren (Elyot) and Gabrielle (PJ); grandsons, Leo and Walker; and siblings, Pat, Joe, Colleen, and Dan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim, and parents, Bob and Audrey.
The Crowley family is forever grateful for the advancements in modern medicine and the extraordinary care of Robert’s oncology team at Swedish in Seattle. Their dedication throughout his journey with cancer gave Robert and his family the invaluable gift of more time together.
A funeral Mass celebrating Robert’s life will be held November 14 at noon at Our Lady of Fatima.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s memory to Fred Hutch in support of cancer research.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
