I was saddened and shocked to find out today about Bob's passing. He was a roommate of mine while we were going to the U of W. He was in Electrical Engineering and I was in Metallurgical Engineering. Sharon, his wife, is my 3rd cousin and I believe they met because of that. Bob also enjoyed going to U of W football games with my father, John. They attended nearly every home game for years [John was a Chemical Engineer, 1936]. GO HUSKIES!
The last time I saw Bob was at my dad's 100th birthday celebration in 2008 and we all had a great time. Bob and I had great discussions about religion - he was Catholic and I am not - but we ALWAYS ended up where we agreed to disagree, and we both knew why. 
A finer friend I have never known.

So sorry to see today that my friend Bob passed away over a year ago. I thought about Bob as I was doing failure analysis today on some light switches that I removed. I have memories of Bob's  ability at failure analysis at the Boeing company. I only wished I would have gotten in contact with Bob sooner, he was one of the nicest people I've ever known.
