ROBERT G. JOPPA, 79, passed away April 16, 2002 in Seattle. He was born August 25, 1922 in Orchard CO, the son of Martin and Beatrice Joppa. He grew up on a farm in the area and went to high school in Brush, CO. He graduated in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Washington. He remained at the University to teach this subject, earned an MS degree, and became a professor. He later studied at Princeton University, from which he received a PhD in 1972. He retired from the UW in 1988, then taught at the National University of Singapore for two years. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Dorris; daughter Susan Elise Joppa; and son Paul Joppa and his wife Margie McCarty. Memorial services will be Monday, April 22, 2002 at 10am and will be conducted at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Chapel, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle.
