

Robert Harold Lewis, 80, passed away peacefully on the 27th of April in Seattle, Washington. He was born on February 25th, 1942 in Seattle. He graduated from Ingraham High School and continued his education to obtain a Master’s Degree in nuclear physics from Seattle Pacific College in 1967. Bob worked for many years at Frederick & Nelson, and subsequently in computer sales.
Bob married his wife Malinda Lee Thorp on August 20th 1965. He was a devoted husband and father. Bob had many interests, including astronomy and wood working. He was able to build his own telescopes to gaze at the stars and planets. He also loved the outdoors and camping, and he and Malinda enjoyed spending time relaxing on the beach at Ocean Shores. Bob also had a love of motorcycles, and enjoyed riding off road in the mountains with his family. He enjoyed reading and photography as well. Bob was known for his wit and dry sense of humor and loved a good joke.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Gwendolyn Lewis, his wife Malinda, his brother John and his son Daniel. He is survived by his son David, son Julius Rwamashongye and wife Joan and their children Allyn, Andrew and Alex, sister Tammy Lewis and her husband Steve Goodman, brother-in-law Bill Thorp and family, brother-in-law John and sister-in-law Barbara Thorp and family, and granddaughter Jessica.

Bob’s memorial service will be held at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98133 at 11:00 a.m. May 13 2022.
