My parents Jim and Barb knew Bob from the Jaycees club and he became a family friend of also me, Kali and my sister Melissa. They were in the club for about 43 years and Bob was for about 45 years or over. He was a nice, patient, and funny guy. He took me driving as a teenager and tried to teach me how to drive. It was great and funny because he took me in his big car and taught how to be relaxed, ha. He even let me drive his van and moped before. He also took in my little sister for a little bit when she was a young adult. He came to my and my husband Derrin's wedding reception in 1996, which was very special and then after we bought our first house in 2001 in Bellevue, I ran into him at Safeway. I hugged him and asked if he remembered me and he told me that he was on Kidney Dialysis. That was the last time I saw him. We will always treasure our memories with him <3 Thanks Bob for everything you did and you were a blessing to us.

Bob was a kind and gentle soul. I got to know him via hydroplanes. He was a member of the hydroplane club called Unlimiteds Unanimous. He also helped out with the Unlimited NewsJournal. For years after the monthly meeting of Unlimiteds Unanimous a bunch of us go out to dinner and Bob was part of our group. He was the poster-boy for those living with a transplant. When I got very ill about 6 months ago, Bob volunteered to take me to appointments if I needed help or didn't feel like driving. We sometimes did not see politics the same way, but I always enjoyed talking politics with him as he was always civil and sometimes reminded me of a point of view that I had not fully considered. He was a true gentleman. I will include Bob and his family in my positive thoughts and prayers.
