Bob was born in Unalaska, AK on 12-31-1919, Lived in Ikatan AK until drafted into the Army in 1942. Returned home to Alaska 12-1945, then was a commercial fisherman until retirement in 1986. Lived in Seattle part time and worked as a carpenter shipwright,then retired. Lived at home in Seattle's Greenwood area from 1982-2009. Preceded in death by Dad and Mother Arther and Anna Newman, brothers Ernest and Alvin and sisters Clara and Ida. Survived by sister Vivian Carlson, 91 and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be 1 hour prior to service (10:00 AM), Funeral will be held on Monday, April 27th at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, Seattle, WA Committal at Evergreen Memorial Park.
