My sincere condolences to Mrs. Scott and Scotty's children.  He was a really genuine person. I am glad to have worked with him at SEPSC.

The first person I ever sat beside when I started work at SSA was Scotty and let me tell you there was never a dull moment.  Even during my most trying times on review as a new BA he could always make me laugh.  That is how I will always remember Scotty, with a smile on his face.  My deepest sympathy to his family and may you find comfort knowing that he did in fact touch so many lives with his wonderful sense of humor.

The world is a sadder place without Bob.
My prayers are with our children, their families, and with Kathy.

We were next door neighbors of Bobâ€™s for over twenty years and we had many good times together, not the least of which were our backyard bar-b-ques.  Pleasant evenings, good food, lots of conversation, and Bob entertaining us by singing and playing his guitar.  We will always remember him for his kindness and his sense of humor.

"Scotty" was able to brighten the day with his wonderful wit, and took a real interest in everyone around him. I sat at the desk next to him for the last few years he was at SEPSC in Birmingham, before going to Seattle. I will never forget the caring spirit and humor of Robert "Scotty" Scott, which he never lost, it seemed. Even when battling a grave illness. He will be remembered for many things: his military and government service, his Scottish sayings, his kilt, his ability to make us laugh; but most of all for the way he treated people. Aye Scotty will be missed.

I was sorry to hear of your husband's passing.  I know it has been a very difficult time for you.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I missed Scotty when he moved to Washington State. He always welcomed me with a smile. He was a very kind and humorous man. I will miss him. Please accept my heart-felt condolences. And to all of his loved ones I will like to bestow upon you what has always brought me comfort when I lose a loved one and that is the promise that God has given us in his word the Bible at Revelation 21:4 God promises us that death will soon be no more and also John 5:28, 29 where Jesus promises us a ressurrection if we fall asleep in death and that this ressurrection will be at God's due time. These Scriptures brings me comfort and I hope they do so for you also. Scotty, will be missed by all of his friends at SSA in Birmingham!!!

Bob and I worked together for almost 4 years at Maxwell AFB, Alabama at the Headquarters of the Civil Air Patrol, with specific duty with the Cadet Program.  I considered Bob one of the more enterprising officers with whom I had worked.

We soon developed a personal relationship, which I have treasured.  He always referred to me as â€œCol. Donâ€ and we had many fun times together.  A really great trip to New Orleans was one of these times.

I miss knowing Bob is no longer with us and Iâ€™ll always think of him often.

I really enjoyed getting to know Scotty the last few years he worked at the Program Center in Bham. He always had a warm hello and a smile for you. I especially liked that he would proudly wear his kilt and colors at special occasions and holidays. I shall remember Scotty as a warm and genuine soul, and I am glad I met him. This has hit me hard. Besides working in the Mod with Scotty, I also lived in Homewood and we would run into each other voting at the school, etc. The Christmases he wore his kilt to work are my fondest memory! What legs!! I was so happy for him when he found LOVE second time around, and a bit jealous as I am still waiting. My prayers are with you.

We will all miss Scotty's smiling face.  It is a pleasure to have known him.  Deepest sympathies to all his family.

I'M VERY SORRY IN YOUR LOSS OF SCOTTY. I DIDN'T WORK WITH HIM A LONG TIME, BUT HE WAS A FIGURE TO REMEMBER. I KNEW HIM BY SIGHT BEFORE WE STARTED WORKING IN THE SAME MODULE. I KNOW HE WAS HAPPY WITH HIS LIFE OUT WEST. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND THE FAMILY.

I remember every Christmas for the office party, we could always count on Scottie's Rum or Bourbon balls . He will truly be missed as a fun co-worker. 

I've worked for Social Security in Bham AL for more than 25 years, and I knew Bob as Scottie. I never worked with him, but I knew him only in passing-in the halls and the elevators. I remember his ready smile and his unabashed pride in his kilt and colors. I pray God comforts you and your family in your sorrow and loss.

I am so very sorry, Scotty was a wonderful genuine loving person.  I immediately fell in like with him. He was always upbeat and made you feel good with his big smile always on his face.  
This was sent to me through the holidays concerning my recent loss of my son.  I think you would like it.

Many people will again fear the coming of Christmas.  Sorrow has broken in during the year, and someone very dear will be gone from the smiling circle of friends and family.  The hurt is there every day, but memory surges to the full at Christmas.  While others join in glad song, the heavy of heart chokes back their tears. 
Where there has been love, there must be tears.  This is the risk we take in opening our hearts to love.  If you had not loved, you would not now need to weep.
Into the heavy of hearts comes the angel's message, "I bring you tidings of great joy..." Jesus Christ has come!  He who loves you and your dear one is here.  And while your cherished one is no longer visible around the Christmas Tree or at the table, they have not drifted out beyond the strong and loving arms of the Savior.  Somewhere in the kingdom of the sorrowing,  they walk and smile again, and in joys unsurpassed by any Christmas.  
The Lord may not remove your grief.  To do this He would have to blot out both your love and your memory.  But into your sadness He ushers a great light, a jubilant melody, a mighty hope.  There is joy in Christmas even for you.
Christmas ties together in two worlds.  Heaven touches earth and mingles with it.  Life becomes a mingling of the past, the present and the future.  Christ has come to forgive our sins. 
He restores us to God.  He joins us to one another in a life, which though broken by death, continues throughout eternity.  
Let your tears trickle unheeded. For tears are good and noble.  But lift your eyes to the stars and to the angels and to the Lord of life and gladness!  There is joy for you too!

I know you and Scotty loved each other very much and your time together was so very short.  Some people never experience that kind of love, you are lucky. I wish there was some way I could make your pain go but I can't.  I am praying for you daily and will try to make it to the services, but I have been ill all week with a very bad cold.
