She was born May 29, 1924 in Dubuque, Iowa. She loved to garden and to travel, and after having lived in many parts of the U.S., she had made the Northwest her home since 1991. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann seton Church in Mill Creek. She was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of 24 years, of Everett, Wash; son, Gary Altman and wife, Karen of Omaha, Neb; daughter, Susan Creamer of Wilton, Iowa; daughter, Cindy Hammond and husband Don of Jonesborough, Georgia; daughter, Virginia Williams and husband John of Rex, Georgia; daughter, Kelly Betsworth and husband Brad of Evansville, Indiana; daughter, Rebecca Gordy and husband Tim of Kansas City, Kansas; sister, Mary Lou Knepper of Olathe, Kansas; brother, William Kennedy of Deland, Florida; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Cryptside service were held on Monday, December 4, 2000 at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett.
She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
