Russell Gilbert Anderson

Russ Anderson passed away peacefully at his home in Burien, Washington on October 30 , 2016 at the age of 94. He was born in Drummond, Wisconson on February 23, 1922 to Albert “Andy” and Bertha Anderson. He was the 7th of 8 children, 5 girls and 3 boys.

Russ married Tilda “Tillie” Kuchan on November 4, 1946. They moved to Burien, Washington in 1946 and had 4 boys. Tillie past away on October 23, 2013.

Russ was a WWII Veteran of the Pacific, from 1943 to 1945. Seeing action in the Phillippines and Guam. After the War he was a Heavy Equipment Operator for 35 years for Deeny Construction in Seattle, Washingtion.

Russ is survived by his 4 sons, Larry Bill Anderson and wife Seija, Federal Way, WA, Neil George Anderson and his wife Katherine, Kent, WA, Rodney Russell Anderson, Anchorage, AK, and Jack Lewis Anderson and his wife Debbie, Conconully, WA; his grand children Melissa Allam, Susan Anderson, David Anderson, Kyle Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Bryan Anderson and Jaimee Anderson; and his great grand children, Darren, Joseph, Lily, Michael, Kaylee Ray, Ashlyn and Lacey; and great great grand daughter Zoe.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, 9:30 am at Tahoma National Cemetery.
