Sallie is survived by her husband of 35 years John T. Warren, her two sons[and their loved ones] Kevin T.[Cheryl] and Shane S.[Rachel] Warren. She also leaves behind her beloved grandson Jeffrey T. Warren and all those who may follow. In addition her siblings [Karen, Richard, Pam, David, Michael, and Mary], her many nieces and nephews, her extended Warren family, and all the life long friends and others whose life she touched.
She was a proud graduate of Blanchet High School. Being extremely full of energy, she was always wanting to try something new, leading her to many new adventures with different companies. She worked at the Bon Marche, was a cashier for Safeway, a secretary at DSHS as well as for Boeing and the YMCA, last but not least a tour guide for both Boeing and The Seattle Times. If you asked her what her career was, she would tell you with pride, that she was a bus driver for the Northshore School District for children with special needs. In her final days she found the one thing she always hoped for, being an amazing nana to her grandson Jeffrey.
Always a girly girl, she enjoyed wearing pretty things with lots of bling. Sallie loved going to live performances, movies, and restaurants especially during happy hour. She adored the Wizard of Oz, and was a Seahawks fan right down to her boots...literally. Her love of animals was great and her pets meant the world to her: from Sadie, Toby, and finally Gizmo. She was always up to go shopping or antiquing. She had a hard time trying to pick her favorite holiday, but Halloween and Christmas were her most loved of them all. You would always find her dressing up for Halloween from Dorothy [Wizard of Oz] to a nun, a chicken and even Raggedy Anne. For her Christmas was all about giving, and she always gave the most thoughtful gifts in order to see people's faces light up when they got them. She treasured all the creepy decorations and haunted houses of Halloween, along with the magic and spirit of the Christmas season.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in her name.
We will miss you Sallie, you are forever in our hearts.
