She grew up in Pagdalagan, San Fernando, La Union and Baguio City with her younger brothers and sisters. Survival stories during World War II have always been very interesting to the family who have stayed together in war and peace time. She married Benito Corpuz Hipol from Pottot, Bauang, La Union on January 1945 in Baguio City and lived in La Union soon after the war. They had five children: Esther, Elnora, Benito Jr, Rebecca and Cecilio Salvador. She was the center of influence of Catholic upbringing, participation in community, school and parish activities through the Apostleship of Prayer, Catholic Women's League while Benito was also involved in the Holy Name Society.
She was a public school teacher for 33 years at Paringao Elementary School, District of Bauang. Many describe her as a fair, strict and a very patient teacher. She would take "slow learning pupils" for remedial lessons and they never felt put down. She was respected and loved. Salvacion always inspired confidence in one's abilities; gave well deserved praises for accomplishments and soft reprimands when needed. She believed in, encouraged and facilitated learning.
She was a devoted housewife, mother and daughter. During the latter part of her teaching career, she was also the principal caregiver of her husband who suffered a stroke and later died in 1976. She continued to care for her elderly parents until 1982 and at which there was no more reason for her not to join her youngest sister Teresita and daughters Esther and Nora in the United States.
Salvacion lived in Chicago, Oxnard and Seattle. She enjoyed her grandchildren, nephews and nieces; watched them grow up. She was a part of weddings, birthday and celebrations where she met her family, former students, co-teachers and friends. She enjoyed listening to Filipino/Ilocano music, Bert and Bebot Show and Pinoy Radio; playing solitaire etc.
She leaves a family who will miss her tremendously: Esther and Bill Simpson, Elnora and Demy Bello Jr; Benito Jr. and Tessie Hipol, Rebecca Hipol; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters Teresita Floresca Uy and Sr. Natividad Floresca, ICM and many nephews and nieces.
