Sebille Erling Moulster

Sebille was born to Sebille (nee Richards) and Gogstad Earling at Swedish Hospital First Hill. Her father was born Erling Gogstad (switching his name upon entering the US) and the family farm in Sandefjord Norway is where the Gokstad Viking Ship was unearthed, now memorialized on the Norwegian 100 kroner.

She grew up in Zenith WA (which appears on some maps still!) on Salt Water St Park in Des Moines and graduated fm Highline High School in 1947. After high school she studied to be a lab technician thru Blue Cross.

She met & married Arthur D Moulster, a Seattle Firefighter, in 1952, and they lived the bulk of their life on Queen Anne Hill raising their 3 daughters.

She worked various jobs during this time and retired from the King Co Election Dept.

Sebille and Art enjoyed traveling for family visits to California, and internationally to South America & Norway.

Sebille was active in her church, QA Lutheran, where she was a member for 70+ years. She especially enjoyed the sewing and service Wednesdays in her later years.

She loved her home sports teams in particular the Mariner’s and Seahawks. You knew when they were doing well, and when they weren’t.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, ToniAnn, Janet (Frank), Katie (Øyvind), and 3 grandchildren, Erik, Melissa (Karl), Elliot, and many generations of cousins here in Anacortes and in Norway.

The family would like to acknowledge the love and support from her family & friends, her church family, and Queen Anne Manor staff, who affectionately called her Sebillita
