Shannon was an amazing person. She was incredibly smart, kind, honest, funny, and strong.  Having known Shannon made me a better man. She loved turtles and opals and (thanks to Denny) knew how to drive a manual transmission and weld.  My thoughts and prayers are with Chae and their beautiful daughter Juniper. I know Shannon is in heaven watching her grow hopefully with Archie the tabby on her lap.  I am so sorry for your family's tragic loss. 

I met Shannon five years ago when she called my salon looking for someone who could wrangle her thick and curly hair into an updo.  Upon meeting Shannon we instantly became friends.  Her heart, laughter, and smile was infectious.   Over the past few years we shared lots of events together, the most special becoming parents to two wonderful daughters around the same time.  We shared the joys and struggles of new parenting together.  It gave me peace of mind to have someone to talk to who understood that everything wasn't always golden.  I will miss our talks.  I feel blessed to have this amazing woman and mother in my life for the time that I did.  My heart goes out to her many friends and family during this difficult time.  I will hold Shannon in my heart forever. 

Cheryll, Ryan, Chae, Juniper and all Shannon's beloved family members there is no way to express in words how shocked and sad we are about your tragic loss. We hope the memories and love shared with Shannon will help support you as you move forward without her. Share lots of hugs and hold one another tight now and always. Love conquers all things. Due to the risky mountain pass conditions, Dale and I will be unable to attend the service tomorrow for Shannon. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. When I was attending Sterling Middle School in East Wenatchee, I began babysitting for the McDonough family. Ryan and Shannon were the first kids left in my care even though I was only 11-years-old. Denny and Cheryl's belief in me shaped my entire life. I have had many jobs, but the one consistent has been taking care of children. Let's just say I hit the jackpot with Ryan and Shannon. They were so well behaved. They say no parent should have to bury their child. Well, no babysitter expects to outlive a child they cared for. My heart aches for Cheryl, Ryan, Chae, and Juniper. Their lives have been changed forever. The silver lining is I know Denny was there to greet Shannon and Finnick as they entered heaven. 

 My heart goes out to Chae, Cheryll and  the Chang family and friends of Shannon in your time of sorrow. I know Shannon has left you with many precious memories in her 37 short years with us. "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit."        (Psalm 34:18)  Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick."    Revelations 21: 4 says:  "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore."
