Shannon, a beloved wife, friend, and member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in Palm Desert, California. She was born on May 29, 1959, in Seattle, Washington, and spent much of her life in the Pacific Northwest. For over 43 years, she called the Bothell and Mill Creek area home, where she built lasting relationships and became a cherished presence in the community.
Upon graduating from Ingram High School, Shannon worked 42 years for Aetna and Travelers Insurance Company, where she started as a typist and spent the majority of her career in a supervisory role. She took pride in her career and maintained close connections with many of her coworkers, whom she considered dear friends.
She had a thoughtful and generous spirit, often expressed through her love of creating seasonal cards for friends, church members, and those who could no longer attend services in person. Shannon wanted everyone to feel remembered and included, a reflection of her deeply caring nature.
After her retirement, Shannon and her husband Brian spent much of their time together on daily walks, strengthening their bond and connecting with others in their community. She formed friendships with countless people and was widely remembered as “the sweetest, kindest, and most caring person.”
Shannon also enjoyed traveling and hiking, especially exploring the beauty of national parks. Arches and Canyonlands National Parks near Moab, Utah, were among her favorite destinations.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and her church community meant a great deal to her. Shannon’s warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Shannon’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will not be forgotten.
