Sharon L. Long, 82, passed away peacefully in Seattle, Washington on November 16, 2017. She was born in Seattle on November 28, 1934. Sharon spent most of her life in Seattle as a homemaker, a loving wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Long and sons Paul and John. She is survived by their three children Barbara Yankee of Redlands, California, Linda Long of Arcata, California, and Frank Long of Bothell, Washington, and grandson William Reed of Bothell, Washington, as well as many other friends and family members. She was an active member of All Pilgrims Christian Church.
One of Sharon's great passions was cats and cat rescue. She was involved with and supported Purrfect Pals for many years, fostering several rescue cats, including a mother cat and her kittens. A memorial service will be held at All Pilgrims Christian Church, 500 Broadway East, Seattle at 7 PM, Friday, December 29. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sharon's name may be made to Purrfect Pals (http://purrfectpals.org/).
