

Shelby Jean Webster, 88, passed away on October 16, 2024, in Seattle, WA. Born in Glass Township, Jackson County AR on August 17, 1936, Mom was a lifelong nurturer and cornerstone of her family, dedicating her life to the well-being and upbringing of her children and grandchildren.
Mom completed her education at Clover Bend High School in Clover Bend, AR and spent a significant part of her career at Barber-Coleman Company and Eagle Foods in Rockford, IL where she served as a cashier for 30 years before retiring in 1999. Her work ethic and dedication to providing for her family were evident throughout her career.
A person of deep faith, Mom was an active member of the Bethany Community Church in Seattle, WA. Her hobbies included cooking, quilting, crochet, needlepoint, sewing, gardening, and collecting sea glass and shells during her regular walks on Seattle beaches. Mom cherished the time spent at home with family, reading the newspaper every day, reading the Bible, joining her children in travel, camping in the Pacific Northwest, and visiting with friends.
Mom is survived by her sisters Bonnie (George) Christopher of Pocahontas, AR, Marilyn (George) Colburn of Walnut Ridge, AR; her sons Arlon Webster of Seattle, WA, Wayne and Anne (Patanella) Webster of Seattle, WA, and daughter Carla (Webster) and Steve Boyle of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren Ryn Boyle of Tacoma, WA, and Henry Webster of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents Ivarn Frank George and Mattie Elizabeth (Prewitt) George of Portia, AR, her brother Ray George of Walnut Ridge, AR, and infant son.

There will be a private ceremony for immediate family at Butterworth Funeral Home in Seattle, WA, and a graveside service at New Milford Cemetery in Rockford, IL.
