I am still in shock. I went to WCHS with Simeon. he was an amazing guy and a good friend. He was deep thinker with an infectious smile. My deepest condolences to his family. I'll miss you buddy!

I was saddened to learn of Simeon's passing today. He crossed my mind earlier and I wanted to reach out and say hello. It had been a few years since we last spoke. He was such a kind and generous soul; always quick to offer help and support, even when there were times he probably needed my support more than I needed his. That's just who he was. 

It was an honor knowing you, Simeon. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to say goodbye and tell you how much appreciate you.

I haven’t spoken with Simeon in several years, and yet his infectious, beautiful soul still touches me. Simeon and I became friends playing darts of all things, and I still have fond memories of playing darts and waxing poetic into the wee hours with him. I have a son with special needs, and Simeon’s open, fun interactions with him stay with me. I am beyond saddened to hear of his passing. My heart is heavy for his family. The world is less bright without him in it. He was so very special. 

Simeon and I weren't close friends in college at all, but I took two classes with him, and it was so clear in those classes that he was incredibly intelligent, kind, and funny. Years later, I complained on Facebook late one night that I couldn't sleep and hadn't slept well in a while (anxiety). Simeon sent me the link to a website that played quick videos of very cute little animals (maybe kittens playing or a duckling eating), and told me that it was guaranteed to decrease my anxiety and help me sleep. He was right; that site helped me get back to sleep many a night. My condolences; he was a special person.

Ellen and Shad, my heart aches for you. Sim was special.

from 4:30-7 at the Sunlight Cafe in Seattle.

I've only known Simeon fairly recently. My heart truly hurts for him and his family. Within an hour of knowing him, I had found a witty, clever, sweet, dear person. We cracked each other up and brought joy to each other's lives. I got a glimpse of a beautiful soul.  I would welcome an opportunity to celebrate his life with others jstod.tepe@gmail.com


We were so shocked and deeply sorrowful to hear of Simeon's passing. There are so many fond memories of him as a little boy, always so full of life, and a playful glint in his eye.  You could just see him thinking of what his next great adventure would be . . . .  May you feel God's presence in a real and tangible way as you walk through this season of grief.

Simeon had such a sweet and caring soul. We were not close friends in college, but close in the way that most people who attended St. Andrews at that time remained. Several years ago I posted on social media about being upset about being laid off from a company that I was with for over a decade. Out of the blue, Simeon contacted me and offered to make me a website and help with my online marketing. That was the kind of person he was. He will be missed by many in the St. Andrews family.

I am heartbroken to hear this news Simeon was such an amazing person back in my high school days.  We were in Drama class together and he had the most infectious laugh and wonderful disposition. He used to play practical jokes on our Drama teacher and he had us all laughing...Very talented I am saddened to hear of his passing my condolences to Shad and to all of his family.

Simeon was such a gentleman.  He is as talented with his musical drumming skills.  I recently wanted to get in touch with him and tell him my son was taking drumming lessons!  I heard of his passing from my St. Andrews colleagues and  I am having a hard time knowing of his passing.  Please let me know if his funeral plans.  I loved your son!
