Soledad (Soli) was born in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, the youngest of seven and the only girl. She moved to California in the 60’s to pursue a career in nursing, joining the ranks of other Filipinas who immigrated for a chance at opportunity and a better life in America. Soledad’s career as a nurse spanned 35 years, spending nearly the entirety of it as an RN at Swedish Hospital First Hill on the now-defunct wing of 7SW.
She moved to Seattle to marry Vidal Miguel Guerrero in 1976 and they remained together until he passed away in late 2014. She loved all animals (but especially cats), going out to lunch, the color red, and music, but most of all she loved her family. She is survived by her only child, Jay, along with daughter-in-law Robyn and a beloved grandchild, Cy.
