Susan Marie McCRAY, Susan was born January 30, 1961 at Swedish Hospital and passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2008. At an early age Susan had a desire to see the world and be on her own. After high school she went to work and her adventure began. First stop, Hawaii, until money ran out. She returned to Seattle to work and save more money, while living on Vashon Island. After two years, she decided to return to school and entered the University of Washington, majoring in Business Administration. Before graduating she landed a job in Washington, D.C. at the Chronicle of Higher Education and stayed on for several years. While at the Chronicle, she and friends trekked across Mexico. It was about a year after that adventure that she left the Chronicle and moved to Berlin, Germany where she stayed and traveled all over Europe for four plus years. She returned home to Seattle and worked with several construction firms as a project assistant on many notable construction projects until a month before her death. In her travels she finally found the best destination ever, Heaven. She is survived by her parents, Carl and Jeraldine McCray, sister Karen, nephew Giovanni, niece Julianna and many aunts and uncles and tons of cousins and friends that miss her dearly.
