Sybilia Serrano Bigornia returned to her heavenly home on March 12, 2019 after suffering a stroke two weeks prior. Sybilia was with Flora Ocampo, her first cousin, a longtime friend, and caretaker when she passed. Her strong belief in her faith and family supported her through her struggles and ultimately gave her peace.
Sybilia is the daughter of the late Isidro and Maria Serrano. She is survived by her Sister Virginia Serrano Dizon and family in New York; Sister Fermina Serrano Oviedo and family in the Philippines, Lourdes Serrano (sister in law) and family in New York, and the family of the late Jesus Serranos in the Philippines. She is also survived by many of her loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
Sybilia is predeceased by her brothers Alfonso Serrano, and Jesus Serrano.
Sybilia worked in the Philippines as a real estate agent, managed her own Dressmaking Shop, and other office related jobs. Sybilia moved to New York sometime in 1989 where she worked and pursued secretarial course training. Then moved to Seattle, WA in 1992 where she attended CNA training course and worked by helping the elderly
Sybilia eventually met the love of her life, Phillip Bigornia in Seattle, WA. Sybilia and Phillip had a blissful marriage. Phillip predeceased her in 2001.
Sybilia can be described as loving, caring, kind, friendly, and thoughtful. Sybilia touched many people’s lives. She will be truly missed by many for her friendliness and sharing.
Sybilia will be buried at Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, WA 98056 on March 22, 2019 at 2:00 P.M.
